Yağmur Kiper [jaːmuɾ kipɛɾ] (she, o)

Merhaba!

I’m Yağmur, a third-year Ph.D. student in Linguistics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am a syntactician with a focus on the so-called Altaic languages, primarily Turkish and Khalkha Mongolian.

My primary advisor is Maziar Toosarvandani.

My main interests in syntax include nominalizations, case theory, ellipsis –particularly sluicing-like constructions– and copular clauses. I also have a strong interest in semantics and am currently working on the evidential restrictions on imperfective markers in Turkish.
