Merhaba!

I’m Yağmur [jaːmur̥], a Ph.D. candidate in Linguistics at the University of California Santa Cruz, advised by Maziar Toosarvandani and Mia Gong.

My research includes work in syntax and semantics, with an empirical focus on the so-called Altaic languages. In syntax, I study morphological case and its interaction with clausal structure; in semantics, I work on evidentiality, modality, and aspect.
